Combating White Finger & Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS)

The HSE has indicated that as many as 150,000 workers in the UK may be regularly exposed to levels of vibration capable of causing a risk of Vibration-induced White Finger (VWF).

We are at the forefront of developing practical solutions to this problem by not only reducing the causes of HAVS, but in many cases eliminating it altogether from the work place.

LDDS own and operate a large fleet of remote controlled demolition machines, providing the ideal solution for most controlled demolition projects. This specialist equipment allows the operator to remotely control the given task separate from the drilling or breaking action.

With a small footprint these machines can be operated in confined spaces and provide massive productivity gains compared with traditional methods. The operator controls the machine from a safe-distance using a control device connected via a cable or radio signal. The Brokk range of robotic machines is powered by electric motors, ensuring a low noise output and the absence of exhaust fumes.
